This story has all the ingredients for a Hollywood movie. in 2001 He fled war-torn Somalia with his parents when he was just six, was later spotted by one of the biggest clubs in Britian and became one of the most promising players in Scotland, even labeled by many 'the Scottish Wayne Rooney'. 10 years after, aged 16, Islam Feruz signed for one of the the richest clubs in the world, Premier-League club Chelsea , leaving his former club furious.

 

When the Feruz family arrived to Scotland illegally they were set for deportation, but the late Tommy Burns, then in charge of Celti's youth development, spotted Islam`s talent and managed to convince the Foreign Office to let his family stay.
