When Vincent Tan took over FK Sarajevo, one of the first things he did was to improve facilities at the club’s academy. Now attracting youngsters from all over the country, it has Hadzic, dubbed the “Bosnian Luis Suárez”, as its premier product. Unlike his team-mate Demirel “the Bosnian Luka Modric” Veladzic, who is two months younger, Hadzic is yet to make a senior debut, but last season he scored an incredible 57 goals for Sarajevo’s and Bosnia’s under-17 sides. So presumably the nickname refers to his scoring rate, not to any on-pitch antics.
