Background and History

Born in Makhachkala Dagestan, his father signed him up to the Markarova football school, where he was later spotted by CSKA Moskva scouts when he was 13 years old and immediately signed to play in their academy.

Serderov has played for the Russian national team at both Under-16 and Under-17 level, also named the captain of the Under-17 squad, recently participating in the UEFA European Under-17 championship qualifying stages.

Serdorov holds an amazing tally of 11 goals in 11 appearances for the Under-17's.

Strengths

Serderov is a lightning fast attacker, with amazing technical abilities, who is at his best when facing the goal, able to execute accurate shots towards the goal from both in and out of the box area.

The youngster's biggest asset is his intelligence, always knowing how to use the open space in front of him to his advantage, often using his great pace to cut deep through the opposition's defensive line.

Weaknesses

Serder needs to work on his physical abilities in order to breakthrough at senior level and also work on his aerial abilities, although for his body size he is the kind of player that can hold his ground.

Additionally, with so much expected from this youngster, nothing can really equalize to experience and with CSKA currently leading the Russian Premier League, in one of their best seasons of the past years- it is unlikely that he will receive the time he needs on the field in order to keep his development rate high.

Mentality

Serderov is a very confident player, who believes in his abilities and hopes to play at the highest levels in Europe- particularly at Barca as many players do.

Current Situation

Since attracting attention in both domestic and international appearances, Serder has been approach by several high class sides including Juventus, Atletico Madrid, Anzhi Makhachkala, Rubin Kazan, Dynamo Kiev and even Barcelona.

Juventus were also reported to have actually sent an offer to CSKA Moskva for Serderov, but they were turned down.
CSKA Moskva have made it clear that they are looking to hold on to the top rated player and that they will most likely extend his contract before the beginning of 2012, with his contract due to expire next season.
